明胶Gelatin是肽和蛋白质的混合物，通过从动物皮肤和骨骼中提取的胶原蛋白的部分水解而产生。在明胶层上生长的小鼠 ES 细胞作为细胞外基质（用于支持）需要存在白血病抑制因子 (LIF)。人类 ES/iPS 细胞在小鼠胚胎成纤维细胞 (MEF) 的饲养层上生长，需要用明胶对培养板进行预处理。

Description：Gelatin is a mixture of peptides and proteins produced by partial hydrolysis of collagen extracted from animals’ skin and bones. Mouse ES cells that are grown on a layer of gelatin as an extracellular matrix (for support) require the presence of leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF). Human ES/iPS cells are grown on a feeder layer of mouse embryonic fibroblasts (MEFs) and require the pretreatment of the plate with Gelatin.
